Ignoble Laureate

When Barack Obama was given his 2009 Nobel Prize for Outstanding Achievement in the field of Not Being George W. Bush, some people accused the committee of debasing the value of the award by giving it to someone who hadn’t done anything yet. No one has tarnished the spirit of the Nobel more than Obama himself, whose foreign policy aggressively expanded Bush’s pre-emptive war and extrajudicial assassination campaign to Libya, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, and beyond.
