Mona Lisa Smile, Hands down.
To teach is to yield transformative power — on yourself, your students, the society, and the world. Of those who choose to teach some do it passively, some grudgingly, and a rare bunch passionately. Katherine Watson is of the latter breed; A beautiful charecter in Mike Newell’s 2003 film, Mona Lisa Smile.
The theme of the story is usual enough — A woman struggling to stay true to herself as opposed to the societal expectations on her. But funnily enough, any woman today can relate to the movie with no doubt. So yes, if you have a couple of hours and popcorn to spare, please do watch the film.
