First of all, let me explain the crux! Eagle is the most sharpest and active bird and can hunt its prey in just a few seconds. On the other hand, the koala is a slow and scruffy animal. So, what’s the core though? Ya! You are right. The main point is to teach you how to achieve more while doing less or how to work smarter.

I know that you are also tired of working hard and achieving nothing. During my exam days, I was working very hard. I worked more than people’s expectations but I was not achieving what I deserve. In other words, I was working hard and not smart. After I followed some productive rules and methods and they completely changed my practical life and made me smarter. These magical points are given below.

1. The 80/20 Rule

20% of students score 80% grades. 20% of people have 80% money. 20% of workers are responsible for 80% of outputs.20% of criminals commit 80% of crimes. 20% of drivers cause 80% of all accidents. 20% of diseases are responsible for 80% of deaths.

The above are examples of the 80/20 rule.

This rule means that 20% of your activities will account for 80% of your outputs.

It states that you should do the important tasks first. Stay focused on those 29% tasks that will give you a maximum of 80% output and stop things that will give you less output. Spend your time, money, and energy on necessary tasks. Prioritize your tasks. This step is a gold mine in becoming smarter.

2. Follow Your Passion

Following your passion is a necessarily important step. If you want to become a Freelancer then don’t go into the profession of medicine. If you become what you want, your life will be easy. You’ll not take work as a burden. Doing what you love will make you faster than other competitors.

3. To-Do List

Whenever you wake up in the morning, take a notebook in your hand and write 3 important tasks that you want to perform that day. This will take a maximum of 5 minutes. These 5 minutes can change your productivity level. Do the 1st task before evening, 2nd before night, and 3rd before the next morning. You can’t imagine, how powerful this step is. It’ll make your day productive. Most successful businessman Warren Buffett also follows this technique.

4. Just Start

Some people don’t start their work because they think that they don’t have not enough knowledge or accessories. They delay their work a lot. They have a thousand reasons to not start the work in time. Do you know who those people are? Those people are losers.

Don’t be a loser. Start your project with a single reason. You’ll make mistakes and learn from those. When you’ll start earlier, you’ll finish earlier.

5. Kill Small Projects First

Do small projects earlier.

Don’t spread small tasks. Finish them earlier and then focus on the larger one. For example, if you’ve to write an e-mail and you are attending meetings or doing other time-consuming tasks. You can never write that e-mail, you will delay it for several days. So, sit down and finish it. By using this method, you can save much time and energy.

6. Chunking Projects

Break your work into small parts. Don’t follow the rule of multitasking here. Multitasking will not allow you to stay focused. Complete one small task with focus then start the other.

For example, in a vaccine, such microorganisms are used that can destroy the human body but when these organisms are allowed to enter the body in very small quantities, our immune system will kill them easily. Thus, our immune system has learned how to kill them and has the power to kill the real ones.

Let me give you another example. If you want to learn a new language, learn one word on the 1st day. On the 2nd day learn two words. Similarly, increase the number of words with days.

On the other hand, if you’ll learn fifty words on the 1st day, you’ll forget them all and will also stop learning more words, earlier. Therefore, it’s better to divide tasks into small parts.

7. Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro technique states that break your task in small chunks, and do something else during that break. For example, after working 45 minutes, take a 15-minute break, use your mobiles or do anything you love. After exact 15 minutes return to your task, and repeat the process. I know that you might feel it irritating. But, believe me, it’s very useful. It’ll make you able to stay smarter.

8. Work Less

It means that if you’ve worked 12 hours yesterday, try to finish the same task in 10 hours. On the next day, try to do it in 8 hours. After that, check if you can do work effectively in less time. This technique will make you more productive than before.

9. Ask Yourself

Last but not least, ask yourself different questions like:

· How can I complete this particular task in less time?

· What should I do first?

· What is the smartest way to complete this project?

· Am I focused?

· Should I take a break?

And so on…

If you want to complete your work earlier, you will need to work smarter not harder. Smart work includes hard work. It tells us where to work hard and where to not. Staying focused on important tasks will make you successful one day. Breaking tasks into small parts can change your game.

Hope you enjoyed it. Let’s finish the talk and will meet next. Do follow and give claps if you’ve learned something precious.
