Hyperion. The World’s tallest tree, a redwood, stands at approximately 380 feet high and according to researchers is anywhere between 700–800 years old.

Putting things into perspective, this tree started growing in the 1200s — 1300s. It is both taller and older than both Big Ben (316 feet / 1859) and the Statue of Liberty (305 feet / 1870ish)

A study done by several researchers concluded that the tree could have in fact been taller if not for damage caused to the top…

Woodpeckers.

Apparently not only did the plucky little bastards fly all the way to the top, damage caused by them prevented this colossus from getting even taller.

Listen.

If you are small, you are never as small as you think you are. Great things can be accomplished no matter how small you are. But sometime’s you cannot do it alone.

If you are big, it doesn’t matter how big you are or how high up in the clouds you are, sometime’s you may be prevented from reaching your dreams by something a lot smaller than you thought or bothered about.

If you are a tree, can you introduce me to Groot?
