About your Being Against Immigration article. Note that “keeping British British” is different from problems of overcrowding, or “being full.”
Overcrowding can bea real problem. Places can’t accommodate too many people too quickly without effort. Uncontrolled immigration can lead to problems, especially in a world where wars are displacing huge numbers of people. The problems are not insurmountable perhaps, but they can get bad.
To deal with this, all the countries of the EUC could say that one can only immigrate to a country if unemployment there is less than 5% and there’s enough housing. Then immigration could end for a while until it’s less full.
And we could stop being afraid of immigrants. We could be for “manageable immigration” instead of calling each other xenophobic.
