I suggest you change YOUR name and see how it goes. Overcome your ego- your sense of self- and it really doesn’t matter what name your body goes by.

I changed my name a bit, from Randy to Rand (legal name is still Randolph, which no one calls me, except the IRS…) I did it to shake up my persona a bit. It did, a bit.

So go for it. It’s a great experiment. My guess is that it’ll change nothing, not even your story that your history with slavery still somewhat matters.

Then there’s the call to all of Black America to do the same. Why? It makes much more sense for you to do it first. Sure, people with stage names have done it. For the rest of us, it doesn’t really matter. Or that’s what we think. So go for it and report back. My guess is that you’ll find it doesn’t help.

I like the name “Zaron” — ‘sounds modern, even futuristic. Maybe change your last name to “Burnit”? Verb phrases are cool. And maybe change the “III” at the end of your name to v3.0…
Zaron Burnit v3.0 — that’s a hip name…

‘back to work…
