The problem with being born in a “suit” (skin, apparent gender) that communicates meaning to others, is that it adds an additional challenge to accomplishing what goals you set for yourself. Your numbered lists scare me, because I have no doubt that every one of these items happens at least 90% of the time. I believe every human is on the “giving” end of most of these foibles, but that we need to fight them. When we do, we can’t just say we’re going to give the “target” a little slack. We need to try to connect more as humans in all situations. Thanks for this and the Tyson article. Taken together, they provide an enlightening few moments of reflection.
