Rationalizing Hillary’s Compromise is Not the Moral High Ground

I respect your point-of-view and your writing skills, so I ended up re-reading this piece 3 times. My first reading generated a picture of you foaming at the mouth as a result of forgetting your meds. The second reading led me away from that and to a conclusion that you weren’t fond of people using anything to do with morality as a reason to vote for Hillary. The third reading led to believing you were saying: because Drumpf, go ahead and vote for Hillary, but don’t bullshit yourself that it’s a moral decision. If my last conclusion is right, I’m ok with that.

I caucused for Sanders, and I will vote for Hillary. She has PLENTY of warts, but Trump is just too crooked and too stupid to warrant a vote. That being said, it’s important for people to hold our politicians feet to the fire regarding working on the people’s behalf.

I want to believe … want to b-e-l-i-e-v-e … that Hillary will do good things if the rest of us have the will to continue speaking loudly, and publicly. She has the capacity to work on our behalf, but in my opinion, Bernie-people have to keep their feet on the gas without going so far as to turn others to voting for Drumpf.

Interest and passion in the politics of increasing people’s opportunities needs to continue long after the election. Let’s work to make that happen.
