You stated:

You seem quick to do exactly what you accuse me of doing: misrepresenting your motives and dismissing your viewpoints. Accusing me of believing what I do out of a desire to “feel good” or to have “moral superiority” is exactly that.

And I’ll add to that my earlier claim that I think that you believe what you believe because you are naive. Claiming that someone holds views because they want to “feel good”, want to think themselves “morally superior”, or because they are naive is a far cry from claiming that someone holds views because they are evil and want bad things for others. But that is precisely what leftist say about conservatives and Republicans all the time. You seem to be willing to allow that I hold my conservative beliefs in good faith, that my my beliefs aren’t motivated by “greed” or “racism”. You should extend that same allowance to the overwhelming majority of Republicans and conservatives, that they actually think that more people will better off with a conservative approach to government. The untruth that Republicans are evil racists is repeated so much that the left appears to really believe it. You think it’s true enough that you don’t have to give Republicans the benefit of the doubt.

But it’s simply not true and Repblicans do not owe anyone proof that its not true; however, you do owe your fellow conservative Americans the benefit of the doubt.
