What Destroys My Life

In shadows deep, where worries thrive,

A haunting dance, what destroys my life.

The echoes of doubt, a relentless tide,

Each whispered fear, a truth to hide.

Procrastination, a silent thief,

Stealing moments, causing grief.

Lack of purpose, a heavy chain,

Binding dreams with endless pain.

Comparison, a venomous seed,

Sowing discontent, a toxic need.

In the garden of self, it takes its toll,

Withering joy, consuming the soul.

Regrets, the ghosts of paths untrod,

A haunting symphony of what could have been, a heavy nod.

Yet in this darkness, a glimmer remains,

Hope’s gentle whispers, breaking chains.

Isolation, a cold and distant friend,

Loneliness echoing, a silent trend.

Broken connections, bridges burned,

Leaving the heart perpetually yearned.

Anxiety weaves its intricate thread,

A spider’s web in the mind, widespread.

Tangled thoughts, a chaotic mess,

A relentless grip, causing distress.

Loss and grief, a mournful song,

Echoes in the silence, linger long.

Embracing sorrow, a heavy shroud,

A pervasive darkness in which I’m cowed.

In the labyrinth of despair, I wander,

Lost in the echoes of mistakes, I ponder.

No redemption, no guiding light,

A perpetual twilight, never-ending night.

Self-doubt whispers, a constant hum,

Undermining confidence, stealing the drum

Of self-worth’s beat, a rhythm broken,

A melody of despair, left unspoken.

In the mirror, a reflection marred,

Scarred by judgments, both near and far.

Fragments of identity, shattered and scattered,

A puzzle of self, tattered and battered.

Time, a relentless, unforgiving force,

Leaving scars, altering the course.

The past, a ghost that forever haunts,

A haunting specter, relentless taunts.

In the symphony of chaos, I find my part,

A melancholy tune, tearing at the heart.

No crescendo, no triumphant end,

Just a lingering echo, a heart that won’t mend.
