I second on this. Most companies will have a policy or training that tells employees not to talk to any media or news outlet. Some even go as far to saying not to post anything on social media as an employee of the company.

Basically this is the job of the marketing or PR dept which is highly skilled at spinning and preserving the longevity of the company no matter the costs.(ie. Seaworld)
