I think you misunderstood his philosophy.

Buffett would never tell anyone not to buy internet stocks. He personally does not because he does not understand them. However, you and I, if we understood them and done our homework, we would profit handsomely.

Buffett does even buy Microsoft and he’s good buddies with Gates since they play bridge together and Microsoft is hardly an internet company.

Lastly, not all internet stocks are dragons. Most of the dragons died in the fire when the internet bubble burst. Amazon and Google? Hardly, dragons.

Personally for me, evaluating an internet company is no different from evaluating a non-internet company. In the end, its all about business fundamentals.
