Mysuru Traffic Police with Rapido helmets

Rapido’s mission to make intra-city commute easier and safer for people is not just restricted to providing service of better transport, but making the city traffic on the roads safe and sound for everyone as well. In the light of this, our Mysore City Manager, Devadas Puthur, has been working closely with the City Traffic Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner. Together they came up with a Traffic Advisory Committee (TAC) which shall monitor the effectiveness of the traffic team in the city. It shall also help monitor various awareness programs effectively.

The Traffic Police team consisting of Mr. Madaiah (ACP), Mr. Ravi (VVMohalla-Traffic) and Mr. Muniyappa (Siddartha Nagar- Traffic) worked for this hand in hand to make this a success.

It’s been a year that Rapido is operational in Mysore, providing easier, safer and more comfortable intra-city commute option. As a part of the TAC team initiative, Rapido team distributed about 1200 helmets to people.

The main objective of the entire initiative was to ensure that the people of the city are more aware of the traffic rules and adhere to safe practices while commuting in the city. In order to ensure that people follow the practice of safe two-wheeler riding, we provided them with helmets instead, leaving no excuse for them to not use them.

Rapido strongly believes we have a part to play in the society at a larger level and not just limit to the business we operate in. The social commitment from us is necessary to ensure a thriving and a better society.

We appreciate the support of Mysuru City Traffic Police. Hope we are able to take more such successful initiatives and bring change in the society.
