I have two responses to this.

I assume I am one of those male contributors because I remember this conversation. I also remember posting BLS statistics that show that men overwhelmingly occupy manufacturing and manufacturing adjacent occupations. I’ll post them again: https://www.bls.gov/cps/cpsaat11.htm

The only assembly line work that is gender balanced is electronic. Every other one is male dominated. So if you specialize in consulting for electronic assembly operations, yes, you’ll see a balanced gender distribution. This does not mean that the sector as a whole is gender balanced.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
