Some of the cosmetics you use regularly may cause ‘Allergic Dermatitis’, ‘Infections’, ‘Hormonal Disorders’, and even ‘Cancer’. Most of the creams, lotions, powders, face packs, lip-sticks, deodorants, shampoos, make-up material contain very harmful chemicals. Hundreds of ingredients used in personal care products are industrial chemicals, including carcinogens, pesticides, reproductive toxins, and hormone disruptors. Some chemicals can keep concrete soft, some degreasers are used to get grime off auto parts, and some surfactants used to reduce surface tension in water, like in paint and ink.

Don’t fall prey for the attractive advertisements.

There are nearly 100 such harmful ingredients are used in cosmetics. In countries like USA, Canada governments test them periodically and ban the harmful ones. In India we don’t have such stringent regulatory mechanism.

Know the ingredients used in them and read some literature on harmful effects of them.
