5 Things You Can Do To Help With Severe Depression:

  1. Tell someone close, how you badly feel — The tendency is to put on a brave face, which is fine, but at least one person you trust HAS to know how severely depressed you feel.
  2. Seek professional help — Yes, no one will ever understand the gravity of your sorrow, but that is not the point. We all need experience, wisdom and counsel to guide us through life, so be patient and consistently try professional help — alternative and orthodox.
  3. Express yourself through writing, dancing, art, sports and any other non-verbal means — It’s often tough to talk openly about how you feel, through a fear of being judged, so using a non-verbal medium is a great way to convey your emotion safely.
  4. Take up yoga — Not Chi Kri necessarily at all, but any style you enjoy. Yoga releases tension from the body at a deep level, and also gives the mind freedom, inspiration and positivity instantly.
  5. Love, love and keep loving — No matter how hard it is, always seek those who are suffering as well, or perhaps worse than you, and give them the wholesome feelings (like happiness, encouragement and patience) that you’d like to feel yourself one day.
