First things first: Thanks for being here I’m grateful for your time.
The vision for my life is to have an impact, inspire human beings and change the world to a better place.
Actually, when I spoke to people about my vision or by just telling them that I want to make the world a better place I got a lot of these responses: “Well, isn’t that what everyone is saying” or “That’s impossible in today’s world” or “Well you are only one person so it doesn’t help anyway” But hey people: I really mean it! I’m not one of those who just talks about this topic to sound great. No, I make the world a better place!

But today, I have already started a fundraising project (JOIN ME HERE, NO EXCUSES PEEPS) supporting the kids in Jamestown, Accra (Ghana)- keep reading to find it out.

With €1.000, we can make sure that the 130 kids (most of them are orphans) can go to school, get food, the teachers get their salary and the school can buy some supplies for a whole month.
The goal is to reach at least €3.000 with until March, 22.
Why Jamestown in Accra, Ghana?
Being in Ghana gave me the last push to take action NOW. Last week, I visited Jamestown, most probably the poorest neighbourhood in Accra.
Seeing these thousands of human beings who are just like you and me with literally nothing broke my heart into pieces. I feel everyone just accepts that Africa is a poor and/or underprivileged continent but only a very few people make the effort to actually jump in and make a difference.
I don’t want to be the tourist who feels sorry the day I see these things — I want to make a change! That’s why I start this fundraising project.
“You are one of us, welcome to Jamestown”, is what a local told us. Despite the horrible living conditions, the people welcomed us with open arms, were so friendly and eager to know more about us and where we’re from. Most of the kids are orphans in Jamestown since their parents work as fisherman and often never return from a working day out in the sea.
I want to make sure that these amazing girls and boys have the chance to go to the only school on Jamestown, get food and education which empowers them to shape a better future for themselves and the whole community.
My commitment: I will donate all money I’ll receive for Christmas to this project and I will fly back to Accra next year (my own expenses obviously), hand over all the donations in person and volunteer for some days as a teacher in the Noyee School.
