Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro

“Procrastination is the foundation of all disasters.”
I believe this quote is absolutely right that every disaster comes due to delay in work.If we work on time before the deadline then this will not happen.
According to a You Gov poll, one in five Americans (19 percent) arrive late for work at least once a week while just under half (48 percent) are never late.Means 50% people almost reach late on their work.
I think this is happen in all places whether its America or Pakistan or any other country. This happens because we are not good in planning a schedule our daily or weekly work.We are just working and running without the planning. So planning is a key to success in every field.
“Planning is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort.” (Paul Jay Meyer)
So I planned why not,I apply this idea for my project work The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork from John Maxwell, so I did exactly but by applying a Pomodoro technique.
Firstly,to know more about this technique,I saw video on you tube in which she told about five parts of doing this technique in accomplishment of any task and that are as follows and I also divided my work according to her tips.

1 Set Pomodoro: I set 3 for this activity.

2 Set Pomodoro time: I set 25 minutes for each Pomodoro.
3 Remove Distractions: I turned off my WiFi connection on mobile and went to another room to accomplish this task without any distraction.
4 Spent Time on review and recap of work: I did this in 3 minutes.
5 Choose final objective:My objective was accomplish a task on time with marvelous work, without any formatting mistakes, in less time.
Experience:
First Pomodoro:
Firstly I read the second half of Maxwell’s chapter on The Law of Communication in first 15 minutes. Then I took work on assessment in 10 minutes including coping, pasting and formatting. And then I took break of three minutes.
Second Pomodoro:
Then I opened the google document and pasted a questions from online course in 3 minutes.I wrote a answer of first two questions in 22 minutes, including their formatting.
Third Pomodoro:
Now,I wrote a answer of third question in 10 minutes with formatting. So in this way I completed my work before the deadline.
Lesson:
Firstly I am very happy that I completed my project work on time and you can to say in less time.I took lesson from this activity that by planning, you can complete any task without any difficulty.
During this task,I distracted three times,First Pomodoro without any distraction but in last two I distracted ,which created a little bit hurdle. So I decided that when I will start work in future I removed all my distractions like Facebook, whats app…etc
In future I will definitely apply this technique specifically during my Research work and also recommend to my friends for applying this technique in their work.
“The secret of getting started: Strategies to Triumph over Procrastination.”(Stephen Richards)
So in the end I would like to say that every successful task demands strategies to accomplish task on time.
