I’m a Product Design Student, so I would most likely try solving the problem of that first half hour after a hackathon starts where everyone races around looking for the interests they need / want in a team. Most likely, this will be a mobile app that will give users the ability to briefly list the skills she/he has and wants to learn. The info will then be in a form of a card, and others can check out the user’s skills and interests and swipe right or left if there’s a mutual interest. This will be location based, (like Tinder).

Hackathons can be an intimidating students who are either coming in for the first time, and I think a product that can instantly tell you about the hackathon participants instantly will provide a smoother team-building experience.

Now that I think about it, users won’t even need to input their own info! I think connecting the app to…say Devpost? I believe most hackathons require people to use Devpost to submit projects. Devpost has user info such as past Hackathon projects, skills, and Github profiles
