Or experience designer, product designer, experience architect, software designer, etc. Human Factors and HCI have been around for decades--this is not a brand new field.

The first UX person I ever met (his title was just “senior designer,” but he was certainly doing what people think of as UX now) had been at it since 1990. I don’t think having “UX” in your title is meaningful — what your responsibilities are is key.
