I’m past the Amazon 30 day return policy. In my country (USA), a company is not obligated to refund your money, if it’s past the period they state as the return period. I’m past Amazon’s return period; I've already called Amazon about this issue. They basically told me that they MIGHT take the product back at a heavily discounted rate.
As for ethics, the company kept selling the product, after it began liquidations, from what I’ve read. According to a few articles, there was a liquidation company truck, outside the warehouse, while the company continued to sell the product on it’s website and Amazon. While the CEO might not have been directly responsible, he definitely knew this was occurring.
