Movie Review — LIFE (2015)
Life is a 2015 biographical drama film directed by Anton Corbijn and written by Luke Davies. It is based on the friendship of Life photographer Dennis Stock and Hollywood actor James Dean, starring Robert Pattinson as Stock and Dane DeHaan as Dean.
Sometimes movie is unpredictable. You can feel what it said was based on daily consumption. Basically, it’ll affect to your opinion either. We can say it was good or it was bad. Because your life experience. Was those words seeming to be judgmental? I don’t even care with it.
Life is one of those movies which based on true story. It told us about a short of their journey.
Life is magazine agency which profiled famous people with their carrer, they profiled people through to their fame. Otherwise, I thought the title movie is attractively meaningful. But it wasn’t the main point.

The story was focused on the new potiential actor “James Dean” and life’s photographer “Dennis Stock”. They built somefriendship relation.

Dennis Stock is a portrait photographer. May be, we can see as human interest photographer who could see the deep-down of people’s potraits. Human interest is kind a difficult. because it tried to captured the emotions from people. He’s full time New Yorker to make living his ex-wife and his son. He have been photographer since he was at 16. He has to survive his life.
Long road to be photographer, he still earn his picture to reach his dream, to get a exhibition. He is really into human interest, i thought he had some reason for it. He could catch the soul of their picture, emotions and feelings from his photos. He made his picture speaking to the reader, I guess. Although his boss said he had to choose the difficult or the easy one. Because his boss you’d get what you wanted to. Just went to Japan and took some landscape pictures, he offered. it sounded easier, didn’t it? But Dennis believed what he felt. He followed his heart to dig Dean’s life.

When he met James Dean, his new potential actor. He could feel Dean. He saw him differently. Dennis Stock saw him. Dean was hardly to reach, he did what he wanted to. Dennis Stock had to follow him. Dennis seemed to understand why he had to follow his instinct. Dennis saw Dean, Dennis could see what dennis did having his meaning to his life, beautifully simply. Dennis saw Dean really family oriented. Dean really appreciated his family. Even his father and mother had been dead. But a warm family dean had, dennis felt around. Few activities he captured from Dean, we can see it. How Dean loved his family

And for Dean, being a new actor wasn’t easy. Dean had to follow the rule. He had to do all list agency want to. Dean, was the one against them. Even, he still thought his career. He seemed to not to be fully happy either. But he tried, just tried. He was kind a fully moody person. But that’s the thing making him special in his movie, and for his acting career.
In the end, I felt a bit disspointed with this movie. Because I had high expectation from this movie. Great title, great poster already boosted my interest. As far of it, it’s pretty good to watch it. the peak of this movie is in “the ending”. It was really great. Short random poetry to end this movie form James Dean.
At least, there’s not a bad movie. Sometimes we just don’t get the messages, do we? Or we are too stupid to understand or something.
We get home for we have been away. So Long, it seems forever and a day. Oh, so very homesick we have grown. The laughter of world is like moan. In our tired hearing and its song as vain. We must get home, we must get home again. We must get home. All so quiet there. The touch of loving on brows and hair. Dim rooms, where in sunshine is made mild. The lost love of mother and child. Restored in restful of lullabies of rain. We must, we must. Our rainy faces pelted in the dust. Creep back from vain quest through endless strife. To find not anywhere in ah’ of life. A happier happiness than blessed us then. We must get home, we must get home, again!
