While many Blokchain-based games require a monetary investment to start playing, RavenQuest is and forever will be completely Free to Play, which means everyone can create a character, play, have fun & earn! Building a strong and large community is essential to a great MMORPG to thrive, and having a completely F2P model is one of our cornerstones to achieving that.

Landowners have a multitude of exclusive benefits with their own land, but it’s important that anyone feels part of the game’s ecosystem, including non-Landowners — and this where the Community Land come into play! While some Adventurers already had contact with it during the Alpha, let’s take a look at what it is and how the new Effort System (being added for the Closed Beta) interacts with it?!

🌾 Community Land

The Community Land is an instanced plot of land located in Ravencrest that allows for all non-Landowners to enjoy part of the benefits of land ownership.

In the Community Land, you will be able to engage in activities related to Farming, allowing you to plant your own crop, grow your own animals and collect resources from it. This also makes it possible for non-Landowners to contribute with RavenQuest’s economy cycles.

The Community Land starts with 16 tiles and can be upgraded up to 49 tiles as the player progresses in the game. Differently from individual land, Community Land doesn’t allow for house construction, nor does it have benefits like Rooms, Production Tiles, Tradepack Priming and Workers.

To maintain a land of prosperity with a fair, well balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience, we are excited to introduce the Effort System for RavenQuest, a new feature that will allow for non-Landowners to progress and continue to use the Community Land as they gain experience, without imposing other limitations to the gameplay.

💪 Hard Work Always Pay Off

Effort is an in-game resource that will be required alongside the usual ones when undertaking any activity on Community Land. Acquiring Effort is simple: you will be rewarded Effort Points for activities you would normally engage in, such as defeating creatures, completing Quests, Open-World Gathering, Fishing, among others. every activity undertaken while exploring the world of RavenQuest will award you with Effort Points, making it a relatively effortless process!

The rule for how much Effort you earn while adventuring is quite simple: for every 100 Experience Points gained from the many possible activities available throughout the game, you’ll be awarded 1 Effort Point.

The amount of Effort required to take Community Land activities is also meant to be fair, varying from 1 (Potatoes) to 900 (Medium Cow Pen) Points. This means that if you are a dedicated player engaged in partaking in activities to evolve your character, your Community Land will always keep up with this growth! In the image below, you can see where the Effort Points required (symbolized with 💪) are displayed in the interface!

There will also be a limit as to how much Effort a single character can have at any given time. Starting with 400 Points, the Effort cap will grow by an additional 400 points each time players unlock more space in their Community Land (Level 15, 25, and 35), to a total limit of 1600 Points!

Effort costs that will be charged alongside the usual Silver fees will always be displayed to players and, at least for the time being, Effort will be charged only on Community Land actions. Individual house Lands and their activities will not be involved.

Gear up, Adventurer… The Closed Beta is coming!
