True, the significance of the last meal before execution is window dressing in comparison to the issues behind prisons (particularly ones privately run for money) and conditions leading to people being imprisoned. But I don’t get the impression the author is either advocating for OR arguing against the practice. I for one learned something today. That’s what good writing does. Bravo ❤
