A Lesson from My Grandfather

Allow me to relate an anecdote in line with the life of my grandfather — one that was etched in my memory and still, up to this very instance, brings a lesson.

My grandfather lived in a small, quiet community where life went by with the whisper of its soft, gentle breeze. He took his daily stroll with his old, trusted umbrella. It was already a habit of his, something he never forgot, be the sun shining brightly or rain threatening to fall. The umbrella was no longer a tool; it was like an old friend, indicative of being prepared for anything the day brought on.

One day, while on one of his usual walks, he noted that there was something going on in the house next door. A new neighbor was moving in. Never one to turn a hand of friendship away, my grandfather went to introduce himself. Approaching the house, he saw his new neighbor trying to get a heavy box through the front door.
