How Generation Y Can Find Their WHY

Service + Fun = Passion

Generation Y is the most connected generation to date. However, we are so connected, that we are bombarded with so much information, it almost paralyzes us, and confuses us as to what are we passionate about.

We go to school, we are told to get good grades, pursue that degree for our “dream career,” and then we end up meeting some cool “dude/gal” in person or social media, that is very successful and BAM! We feel confused, and sometimes lost. Then we say to ourselves “Hey, they never taught me this in school. WTF!?!?!” So what do we do?

I’m not an expert, but after reaching out to the people who have what I want and building my own business for over a year, I have realized that it comes down to service! The more you add value to other people’s lives, the more passionate you become. In University, I was always thinking about me. “What is the highest paying job for me these days?” “I want to be rich like that person” or “I’ll just become a doctor like my parents told me because at least I will be wealthy and safe.” Those are the wrong questions to ask!

“The more you add value to other people’s lives, the more passionate you become”

I have realized my “WHY” has come from adding value and servicing other people’s lives. Because of this, I feel great, motivated, successful and more business is coming my way! In the process I am becoming passionate in what I do! So what do you do? Now with the Social Media boom, it’s easier than ever to postively impact many people’s lives. So take the time, share some value, no matter what it is (video games, music, school, partying….basically anything you do) and see how people respond, and that will fuel your passion. If you were like me, and didn’t know what your main passion is, then you will discover it!
