This is When You Know You’re A Real Writer

Excellent, Frank. Half the battle is in the mind. I’ve started telling people when asked, “What do you do for a living?” that I am a writer and photographer. Those don’t yet pay the bills and I have a full time job in a corporate office, but to me, that’s my “part-time gig” to pay the bills — even if it’s 40 hours a week. It’s not me. I liken it to an actor, waiting tables in a coffee shop to keep food on the table. My coffee shop just happens to be something else.

Writing and taking photos is the real me and changing that mindset has made all the difference.
