Maybe the least vivid of all colors in nature, brown can still be quite beautiful. Countless mammals are brown as well as many different birds, especially females. Brown is also the staple color of winter when there is no snow on the ground. In the right light and with the right background the dull color of brown can still be captured beautifully. Since it is not as flashy as many other colors brown can also be quite the challenge to find since it helps to camouflage a wide variety of wildlife. Thanks again for following along, next up is purple.

This monster Whitetail Deer surprised me at a small park in southern New Jersey.
A Limpkin feeding in the late evening sun in Florida.
The brown grasses of winter.
A handsome little Nothern Rough-winged Swallow grabs a perch on a cloudy morning.
A Muskrat feeds on fresh leaves along the bank of a small pond.
A White-throated Sparrow doing its best to find food in the middle of winter in New Jersey.
A young Whitetail Deer stares right at me.
A female Hooded Merganser cruises along a pond on a calm foggy morning.
Long brown winter grasses glisten with frost early in the morning.
