It’s nothing too complex, just simple, mostly-usable imagery and text in screen-wide sections. It’s pretty, the typography is good. Bonus points for another good use of yellow

I am just wondering why so many sites these days using fade in/out with a loading logo on a page load. What are some benefits for doing this? Do you think this just for artistic reason?
