I disagree with Horst here. I’m german and a big bernie fan. his policy proposals are indeed much closer to the european social democracies. I think many people in Germany are confused by the american election system though. they probably don’t even know about Bernie but the coverage focuses very much on the craziness of Trump and a lot of people seem to think the choice is basically Hillary or Trump
