Ray Mirra Jr. was born in East Orange, NJ and raised in Blackwood, New Jersey. After graduating high school in Blackwood, he decided to pursue his degree at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. However, Raymond soon understood that he preferred working in the pharmacy business practically rather than book learning about it in the classroom. Therefore, Ray Mirra left pharmacy college in 1977 to start working as a Pharmacy Technician at the Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.

In 1977 Raymond Mirra left pharmacy college to begin his career as a Pharmacy Technician at the Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. However, soon Raymond Mirra would hang his own shingle and Ray the Medicine Man would become a household name on the streets of West Philadelphia. This is where he met Charles Dawson who would go on to become his lifelong friend and business partner.

Raymond Mirra Jr. was born in Blackwood, NJ on February 8, 1956 to Ray Mirra Sr and Irene Domenick Mirra. He graduated from Highland Regional High School in 1974 and went on to graduate from Hahnemann University with a degree in Pharmacy in 1977. After working at Hahnemann Hospital he went on to work as a Managing Pharmacist in the Ware, MA area. He met Denise Paulsen in 1987; they married and shortly thereafter moved back to New Jersey where they settled into a home on Thomas Road in West Berlin. They had a daughter together, Rebecca Marie, who was born prematurely and lived only seven days. Ray and Denise were devout Christian people throughout their lives together and found solace with their faith through this tragic loss.

Once Rebecca passed away in 1989, he became the father of her older brother Matthew Michael who was adopted into the family. For more than 30 years they enjoyed life together as a family of three until Raymond suddenly passed away on April 6 2020 after suffering from cardiac arrest. In 1977, Raymond Mirra left pharmacy college to work at Hahnemann Hospital. It was there that he would meet future business partner Joe Broskey and the rest would become history. His expertise and dedication have greatly contributed to his consistent rise within the ranks within the organization where he has held some of the highest positions over his long and distinguished career. After graduating high school in Blackwood, Ray Mirra Jr refused the offers to join Temple and Rutgers University. Instead, he chose to matriculate at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.

Therefore, he left pharmacy college in 1977 to start working as a Pharmacy Technician at the Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.Raymond Mirra always knew that he wanted to join the family pharmaceutical business. He graduated high school in Blackwood and went on to study pharmacy at Temple and Rutgers University. Raymond Mirra soon decided to leave university, though, and start working as a technician at the Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.

By 1988 Raymond Mirra was managing OBC’s drug-manufacturing operations in conjunction with his role as chief scientific officer and vice president of research. Ray Mirra Jr was created Ray Mirra, the Mastermind behind Ray Mirra Success in 1976. Born and raised in South Jersey (Blackwood to be exact), Ray Mirra Jr pursued his passion for math, science and business. After graduating from Triton Regional High School in 1976, he was accepted by Temple University and Rutgers University. The choice of where to go for college was a no brainer though. There’s only one school in the city of Brother Love Philadelphia! Well, in 1977 he began what we can consider his Pharmacy Student Career at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.

It was at this school that he actively worked with his father and pharmacist Raymond Mirra Sr (who had recently opened a pharmacy business in their hometown) on weekends and over summer breaks. When it came time to choose any number of career choices: Doctor, Pharmacist, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer/Sales Rep., Math Professor…he went with opening his own pharmacy business because he really wanted to do something innovative with pharmaceutical medications that help people with chronic illnesses. Raymond Mirra’s story is impressive. And, therefore he received the recognition as a pioneer in the field of pharmacy automation and distribution.
