Curiousity is important. It is helpful also to hear from people that they are interested in getting their information first hand. That is very important. It is also important to gather and report the impressions and understandings gained from that experience.

That said, I would be disappointed were he actually to endorse or support Ted Cruz. I’m not upset that he went. But he does need to speak up about what he found.

And unfortunately, your dad, you, and all of us with our own perspectives have to help everyone else, including your dad, you and me, to not be dumb. It afflicts us all in the most embarrassing ways and inconvenient times.
