Eddie-
It’s me in and the game. I’m the best… I know it! Easy money from this fat sucker. I’ll lose one, pretend i’m angry and then bet more. No one will know I’m about to beat them. No one!
Fatty fatty fats. Well, I mean the only sport he can play is pool because he can’t run! Me and Bert will beat this kid up, and we’ll be the best. No more Fats, now its just Fast Eddie. Pocket. Pocket. Pocket. Jeez how is this guy dubbed the best? Tell em to bring me my money.
But how? How was I so oblivious? Her hands are cold, she’s out like a light. If only I told her how much she meant, I could’ve kept her. Why the hell did I focus on a game of pool? A pool game meant her death. She should’ve said something. No. It’s my fault, I let it come to this.
Bert-
You’re young and naive, don’t get too arrogant. Haha. Wish I could really say that to him without being brushed off his shoulder. He’s great, he really is. But I can’t control him, and nor can he himself. It’s only a matter of time before he’s too much of himself, and then it’s my departure.
To go die, he said. I’m old. That kid just sits and gambles. He doesn’t know what he’s doing, and he needs me. But no one’s gonna knock some sense into that guys head. He’ll never beat fats with that mind — never.
I wonder how he’s going. But then again it’s on him to move on. That kid — he’s too big for his own body. You can’t just be throwing money around. And that poor woman Sarah. She’ll leave, I know it. I’ve never seen Ed last more than a one night stand. They’re wasting their time, but young Eddie, he’s wasting his life. I may have been his manager, but I know what makes money and what doesn’t, and what’s right for my morals.

My aim was to create a conversation to convey particular scenes of The Hustler. Some scenes include the very first scene, Sarah’s death and the rematch of Eddie and Fats. Particular emojis, such as the male, female and the guy in a suit are used to represent specific characters.
Soliloquy —
My aim was the create a mental diary of Bert and Eddie throughout the movie, in a form of a soliloquy. I attempted to imitate the jester’s soliloquy in Twelfth Night.
