The case of America, Trump and Hitler

One can see Hitler from two lights, Okay one light and one darkness, I take that back, one can see Hitler from two perspectives. The one who liberated Germany and the Murderer. Before Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany, the country was experiencing a crises, the economy was in shambles and the rate of unemployment had risen drastically. The Jews held strategic positions and Germany and Hitler believed they were the reason Germany was passing through such though times. Hitler was willing to do anything for his people, he believed that the Germans were a superior being and they had the ability to take over world. He lifted Germany from the point of failure, strengthened their economy, their military and reduced the rate of unemployment in the country to the barest minimum. However, Hitler was a soldier and as such behaved like one. Thinking of no other way to show Germans superiority other than murdering more than six and half million Jews, terrifying the world and started the Second World War that costs the life of about Fifty (50) million people worldwide. Nevertheless, he was a hero to the Germans but a demon to the rest of the world. This was in the 20th Century.

The 21st century has brought with it the issues of the 21st century and America is not left out. Terrorism is taking over and the term ‘diplomacy’ needs to be redefined. One of the major issues America is having is security and the increase in drug related crimes. Several attacks on America in this 21st century has been perpetrated by radical Muslims and most of the drug related crimes has come from Mexico.

Donald Trump, the Republican Nominee for the American Election has identified that as a problem facing his country and he is offering solutions to remedy that. His solutions may be ‘19th centuryish’, but he has a plan. Trump is however a business man, and in making America ‘Great Again’ will find lasting solutions to anything that will affect his ‘Profit’ such as Radical Islam and Mexican Drug Lords.

Trump to a large extent cares totally about the American people and do not care how other countries are been affected. With this, he is both similar and different from Hitler.

Trump has promised not to interfere with the sovereignty of other nations, this, Hitler didn’t. Trump has promised to make America ‘mind their own business’ which is very much needed after the situation America has put Iraq in after a false alarm in 2003 that the then Iraq’s president Sadam Hussain was in possession of nuclear weapons. This to a large extent gave ISIS the grounds they do have now and has led to so many attacks on the West by the group. America’s ‘busy body’ has led to the complete destruction of what the Libyan people have built for several years. Making them to turn against themselves and later abandoning Libya.

Trump has promised to do ‘whatever it takes’ to secure America, this was what Hitler did for Germany. In Hitler’s case, he arrested and murdered any one he saw as a threat. Trump on the other hand is pledging to make the immigration laws more restricted, deporting a good number of illegal immigrant in his country to tackle the issue of Terrorism affecting America and building a wall on the Mexican border to reduce the cases of drug related violence. This is where Donald Trump just like Hitler has to be watched and cautioned if elected president.

Trump has a Goal but lacks enough experience, Hillary has a lot of experience but no defined Goal. If Trump is to win the elections (likely) I think he should appoint Hillary Clinton as his adviser (unlikely).

Whether we admit it or not, the next president of the USA will affect Nigeria directly or indirectly. With the present state of the country’s economy, Boko Haram now an affiliate of the evil ISIS, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea playing a dangerous Pokémon Game with Nuclear Weapons, whoever becomes the president of America will somehow determine our pace as a nation and in a larger scale decide how many WORLD WARS will occur in this 21st century.

In another news, no matter the outcome of the American Election in November 8, I know who I am not voting for president in 2019.
