Should Front End Developers Learn A Tool Like Vim
Otis Wright

Frontend dev here as well. What would you say about VSCode with Vim emulation? I started with neovim last year and after about 3 months switched to VSCode with Vim emulation. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with neovim it was just that VSCode is much easier to maintain (the plugins are easier to find and install/manage) and has a modern look to it (believe me I spend enough time in terminal so it’s not just aesthetics). From time to time I do go back to it but I think the power of vim is its navigation and how productive it can make you when you start thinking with intentions (telling the editor what to do) and that part is pretty much covered in the emulation, so you get the best of both worlds. What have been your experience?
