So my Grandson asked…. Why do people have to wear gas masks?

Once upon a time, in the comfort of their cozy living room, a curious little boy named Timmy was looking at a picture book about different parts of the world. His eyes widened as he saw a picture of people wearing gas masks. He turned to his beloved grandfather, who was sitting next to him on the plush sofa, and asked, “Grandpa, why do people have to wear gas masks in some places?”

His grandfather, a wise and gentle man, put his arm around Timmy and said, “Well, Timmy, the world is a big place with many different environments and situations. In some parts of the world, the air isn’t as clean as it is here. It can be filled with dust, smoke, or even harmful gases due to various reasons like wars, pollution, or natural disasters. The gas masks help people breathe cleaner air.”

Timmy looked up at his grandfather, his eyes filled with concern. “That’s sad, Grandpa. Isn’t there anything we can do?”

His grandfather smiled warmly at him, “Yes, Timmy, there is. We can take care of our environment, be kind to one another, and help those in need. Every little bit helps, you know.”

Timmy nodded, feeling a bit better. He snuggled closer to his grandfather, his young mind filled with thoughts of making the world a better place. His grandfather hugged him tighter, proud of his grandson’s compassionate heart.

And so, they spent the rest of the evening talking about ways they could help make the world a cleaner, safer place for everyone. It was a small conversation in a cozy living room, but it was a start of something big in the heart of a little boy. And that’s all it takes to change the world - one small step at a time.
