This is true. What surprises me is that too many early stage seed investors are actually asking for quite the opposite of what you are talking about. They want to see growth before you have a product, they want to see investment in user acquisition before you tested with your pilot audiences. It is almost as if the early stage investors are “failing” the young startups by asking them to take the wrong route in order to get their seed funding.
