Making North Carolina A Welcoming and Inclusive Place For All
Governor Roy Cooper

I’m afraid Governor Cooper that this move is too little, too late and a little too conveniently placed close to the special elections about to take place in our state. This move is not about the LGBTQ+ community. It is a piece of political maneuvering on your part. HB 142 was not a perfect solution, because it was not a solution at all. It changed nothing and allowed NC to keep a licence to discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community. SB 2, a legal licence to discriminate in a public office, is still in effect. Have you batted an eye at that? Has your office bothered to respond to the calls, letters, emails, and even tweets sent your way by your constituents (I’ve been writing since January of this year.) You demonstrate that you are not for the people, only for your own political clout. Take real action, with real benefits that don’t line up with your political moments.
