Another great poem and testament to your youth and self development. I feel the abandonment so strongly and being scared and alone with monsters in the curtain patterns. Being a child can be awful.

You know, it was fashionable in the past to let babies and children cry for what must have seemed to them like an eternity. I have to admit, at the recommendation of the older generation, I subjecting my daughter to this practice (but for a maximum of 10 minutes) for a few weeks and then couldn’t bear to carry on. She settled into a relaxed sleep pattern fairly quickly without us inflicting torture. However, I was told I didn’t sleep through the night until I was four plus and what I nuisance that was. No comment.
