Great article. I completely concur that version control for any editable file is invaluable. I would point out though that dropbox does store the version history of files and they can be managed through this great app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/revisions-for-dropbox/id819348619?mt=12 it saved my skin recently in a big way.
