To face global threats, scientists need to change
Ajit Johnson Nirmal

Hi Ajit, After actually reading the PLOS insect biomass paper (twice) and downloading the freely accessible data (yeah!), I decided to search “insect biomass” on twitter and was disappointed to see the bulk of the re-tweet comments were off-base. My thought: how about a new standard section for scientific papers (before or after the abstract) to be titled “caution” with the content designed to explain to the public and journalists what conclusions are NOT justified by the paper. Wish me luck on my upcoming MSc statistics exam…. — @irrigavi
