I am not surprised, but that takes nothing away from the story. Isn’t most fiction born from the womb of things that happened, might have happened or should have happened to the writer? (Well, in some cases, I hope not!) In this case, the analogy is perfect since you were the surrogate mother of this creature (not actually the father).
