Well, no. I liked the story because of the twist at the ending. If anything, I would even exaggerate the parody more, at the start, but really, it is fine as it stands. If you want my advice, just keep writing. The more you read and the more you write, the better you will get. Ten views is good for fiction on Medium. I used to agonize about low numbers, but realized it is a waste of time. Write for yourself. Most of my stuff — my really good stuff — rarely gets more than a dozen or so reads. Then I wrote a poem about death and it got more than 500 reads. So the moral may be to either write about death — or die trying! (I consider a recent story one of my best (Hospice,) and yes, it is about a man on his deathbed. I may be on to something..it got 70 claps (whatever that means) and maybe three dozen views.
