IA#2: Reflection on “Graffiti Wars”

AESTHET

The art being shown in the film is in the form of Graffiti, writing artworks on walls everywhere using spray paints. The film argue Graffiti as an art because of its excellence and beauty and the message it portraits to people seeing it.

The artists in the film are Robbo and Banksy, they show their feelings through paintings on walls. They compete through graffiti and show their anger against each other. Robbo’s mission is to make graffiti known to people, so he painted on trains to reach as many people as possible. While Banksy is more of looking for a challenge to know who’s better between them.

I can relate the film to the upcoming elections in terms of competing. For the presidency, candidates compete with each other by showing their works, skills, and platforms to attract voters, some candidates bring other runners down for them to have an advantage. For me, whoever wins the election should do his/her job well, because in the end, if he/she didn’t, we people are the ones who will suffer. So we need to vote wisely.
