I hear you.

Regarding the Scalia point, I get where the author was coming from. Did Scalia say directly black folks should go to lesser schools? Maybe not. But in the context of constant discussions around race, it felt like a dog whistle. Black have been told since beginning of time that they aren’t smart enough. In every walk of life. And it’s a problem that still exists today. So when you hear a Supreme Court Justice say something like that, it makes you shudder. I concede the reaction very well be knee jerk. But hearing it and knowing our countries scholastic segregational history it gives the statement other meanings.
