Interesting piece, Ezinne. Everything will be a disappointment if we’re ready to be disappointed. There’s really no difference between success and failure. One teaches you, one lets you slide. As soon as you’re a success you start to slide. The ones who don’t slide never cared about success in the first place. Writing is what you do, not what you achieve. Achieving is too predictable. It’s good to know you’re moving forward, but it’s your own steps that matter, not the success that comes with it. Why you’re happy with what you’ve done, then you’re happy.
