We have a hard time staying in the present because it doesn’t “move” enough. Just like our apps and games, we need motion, conflict and humor. If we don’t see it in front of us, our mind searches its own library. We reflect, in other words, hoping it’ll either entertain or reward us. When bad memories surface, we contemplate different outcomes, we commit many murders, and revise our biggest pratfalls. We’re all revisionists and extroverts at heart—or at least in mind. It’s the world, our brains, and countless numbers of influences that make us something else. I truly believe an introvert is someone who simply hasn’t found an extrovert app yet.
