Horizon: Zero Dawn and the beauty of annihilation

During my playthrough I’ve come across some Carja books and glyphs spread around the game world which describe the Nora (Aloy’s tribe) as the exception and not the rule. Carja society seems very keen on keeping men exclusively in political and religious power, in contrast to the matriarchal Nora. Interestingly enough, the Carja guard’s captain is a female Oseram warrior that helped the new king overthrow his tyrannical father from the throne (maybe that’s a shift in Carja society?)
