When we speak without jargon, it frees us from hiding behind knowledge we don’t have. Big words and fluffy “business speak” cripples us from getting to the point and passing knowledge to others.
As a teacher and a writer, “business speak” annoys me to no end. It is a separator, it creates castes of listeners. Those who understand the acronyms and the jargon, and those who feel stupid because they have no idea what the speaker is talking about. Simple, clear, language used to explain a point; that is the answer!
