I feel like you either missed, or are sidestepping the point of the Tech Crunch article. Obviously if coding is something you enjoy or find interesting, you should pursue it like any other hobby. But actually getting a job in the industry can be quite difficult and probably won’t happen directly after a coding camp.
The title of that article was sensationalist maybe, but there are some very good points in there about being realistic. You yourself have an article about how hiring is broken after all.
